Yoder, Alvin E.
October 1, 1958 - April 2, 2024
Alvin E. Yoder, 65, of LaGrange, (district: 12-2), passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at 3:40 pm on Tuesday, April 2, [2024] following a brief battle with cancer. He was born on October 1, 1958, in LaGrange County, to Elmer T. and Ida T. (Miller) Yoder. On April 22, 1982, in Topeka, he married Amanda Sue Beechy, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are 11 children, Marilyn (Nelson) Graber, Ruby Yoder both of Lagrange, Daniel (Ruby) Yoder of Ligonier, Kenneth Yoder of LaGrange, Ida Anna (Levi) Bontrager of Wolcottville, Harley (LaVera) Yoder of LaGrange, Norman (Nettie) Yoder of Ligonier, Martin (Sarah) Yoder, Karen (David) Miller both of LaGrange, Mary Sue (Sam) Bontrager of Shipshewana, Ervin Ray (Lorene) Yoder of LaGrange; 34 grandchildren; stepfather, Daniel S. Bontrager of LaGrange; six brothers, Freeman (Edna) Yoder, Toby (Vera) Yoder both of LaGrange, Orva (Miriam) Yoder of Rexford, MT, Ervin (Edna Sue) Yoder, Daniel (Ada) Yoder both of Topeka, David (Leah) Yoder of LaGrange; sister, Irene (Raymond) Mullett of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Henry Yoder; grandson, Jaymar Bontrager.
Alvin was a woodworker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 3 and all-day Thursday, April 4 at the family residence, 4435 S. 300 W., LaGrange. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Friday, April 5 also at the family residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Floyd Yoder and the home ministers. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, LaGrange. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is handling the arrangements.
Yoder, Carolyn Frances Yoder
March 23, 1939 - February 26, 2024
Carolyn Frances Yoder, age 84 of Goshen, IN, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 4:38 am on Monday morning, February 26, 2024 at Goshen Hospital. Carolyn was born on March 23, 1939 in Elkhart, IN to Dale and Gladys (Buzzard) Yoder.
She was baptized on May 2, 1947 at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church and she was a 1957 graduate of Wakarusa High School. She served 2 years of voluntary service at Froh Brothers Homestead in Sturgis, MI, where she met Glenn Yoder on a blind date. On September 20, 1959 the two were married at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church in a service officiated by Rev. Peter B. Wiebe and Rev. D.A. Yoder. Glenn preceded her in death on November 29, 2019 after 60 years of marriage.
Carolyn lived her entire life in the Wakarusa area before moving to Goshen in 2007. She worked at Raymonds Restaurant in Wakarusa, Wakarusa Medical Clinic for Drs. Abel, Guttman and Miller, and then for Dr. Burden’s Dentistry in Goshen, from which she retired.
She was a lifelong member of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church where she taught Sunday School and volunteered in many capacities. She helped establish the church’s memorial garden and was a member of the Rook Club. Carolyn enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel Music, especially the Legacy 5 quartet. She loved Christmas and her decorations were legendary. She was active for many years in the Wakarusa Christmas Walk. Carolyn loved to entertain and cook. Her home was host to many meals and her hospitality will be remembered by many. She also enjoyed gardening. Most of all, Carolyn loved her family. She cherished her time with them and especially cherished her grandchildren, traveling near and far to attend all their sporting events and other activities.
Carolyn is survived by her two children: daughter, Diane (Mike) Glick of Goshen and son, Rick (Shelley) Yoder of Wakarusa; 3 grandsons: Derek (Karley) Yoder of Mishawaka, IN, Reid (fiancé, Madi Asbell) Yoder of Indianapolis, IN, and Connor Glick of Goshen; brother, Don (Bea) Yoder of Elkhart sister-in-law, Birdena Bollenbacher of Wakarusa; and many nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson Cody Glick; and brother Lester “Dutch” Yoder.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church and from 10-11 am on Monday, March 4, 2024 also at the church. Burial will take place at 11 am at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery and a funeral service will follow at 11:30 pm in the church sanctuary. Rev. Wes Bontreger of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church will officiate. Memorial contributions in Carolyn’s name can be given to Yellow Creek Mennonite Church or The Center, Nappanee.
Yoder, Helen Louise Hochstedler
February 10, 1932 - January 16, 2024
Helen Louise Yoder, 91, of New Paris, passed away peacefully at her son’s home Tuesday, January 16th. [2024]
She was born to Willis and Nona (Helmuth) Hochstedler at home on the dairy farm in Vermont, Indiana on February 10, 1932.
She graduated from Clay High School in 1950. Helen married the love of her life, Weldon Lee Yoder, on her 19th birthday, February 10, 1951 in her family home. Weldon passed away August 5, 2004.
Helen is survived by her two sons, Kenton (Catherine) Yoder and Terrill (Cindy) Yoder, both of New Paris. Helen loved her 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren: Jessica & Jonathan Stauffer (Caleb, Elliott, Lincoln), New Paris; David & Stephanie Yoder (Theodore, Eleanor, Caroline, Maxwell), Wakarusa; Jodi & Brian Kauffman (Jaymison, Natasha, Derrik, Quinton) LaBorie, Grenada; Chad & Laura Yoder, Goshen; Michael & Katrina Yoder, New Paris; Nikita Yoder, Goshen; Jessie Yoder, Goshen; Amanda & Peyton Bontrager (Tobias), Goshen; Jordan & Lauren Yoder, Goshen; and Elizabeth Yoder, Liberty, Kentucky.
Helen is also survived by her sisters-in law: Florence Hochstedler, Goshen; Catherine Yoder, Kokomo, Indiana; and Pat Hochstedler, Greentown, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and three brothers, Walter, Willard, and Wilbur Gene Hochstedler.
Weldon and Helen spent two years in 1W service in Indianapolis, then eventually settled next to Weldon’s parents, helping on the family farm in Akron, Indiana. In 1975 they moved just outside New Paris, Indiana. Helen was a hard worker, tending a large garden, helping in the family model tractor business, and faithfully participating in the Primary Sunday School and women’s sewing of Salem Mennonite Church. She was a member at Salem more than 60 years.
Helen especially enjoyed bluegrass music along with Weldon. She played the upright bass and autoharp for The Gospel Enlighteners and Jubilee Road singing groups. She also played the organ. Helen loved to put together puzzles and play all kinds of table games. At 91, she was still a formidable opponent in word games. For many years, the highlight of her social life was weekly game nights with the Game Ladies, a group of widowed friends. She also enjoyed sewing, making dozens of comforters for relief work and quilts for all her grandchildren.
All who knew Helen will cherish the memory of her faithful, loving, and serving spirit. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Monday, January 22 at Yoder-Culp funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, at Salem Mennonite Church, New Paris with visitation one hour before. Her son, Terrill Yoder, and the Salem ministry team will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Salem Mennonite Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to the Salem Mennonite Church Sewing or Olive Branch Mennonite Missions.
Yoder, LaVerda
February 7, 1976 - February 24, 2024
LaVerda Yoder, 48 years and 17 days of rural Arthur, Illinois passed away at 6:35 A.M. on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the HCK West Building, Arthur, Illinois (1 mile south of Arthur). Bishop Matthew Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, Illinois.
Visitation will be held any time after 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 25, 2024, and any time after 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 26, 2024, all at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
LaVerda was born on February 7, 1976, in Decatur, Illinois, a daughter of Wilmer J. and Ella J. (Herschberger) Yoder.
She is survived by her mother, Ella Yoder of rural Arthur, IL, five siblings, Duane Yoder and his wife Wilma Arlene (Chupp) of rural Arcola, IL, Steven Yoder of Atwood, IL, Wilbur Yoder and his wife Barbara (Kauffman) of rural Arthur, IL, Jeffery Yoder and his wife Rosetta Faye (Schrock) of rural Arthur, IL, and JoEllen Jess and her husband David Lynn of rural Arthur, IL; twelve nephews, six nieces and two great-nephews, as well as many uncles, aunts, and friends.
LaVerda was preceded in death by her father, Wilmer J. Yoder, her grandparents, Joe D. and Amanda E. (Otto) Yoder, and Joas A. and Barbara M. (Schrock) Herschberger, one aunt, Verna Herschberger, one uncle, Milton J. Yoder and an uncle-in-law Levi Mast.
LaVerda was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Yoder, Mary Miller
March 10, 1938 - January 28, 2024
Mary (Miller) Yoder, 85 years 10 months and 18 days of rural Arcola, Illinois passed away at 1:20 P.M. on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at the HCK West Building, Arthur, Illinois. Bishop David J. Otto will officiate. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, Illinois.
Visitation will be any time after 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 29, 2024 and any time after 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 all at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Mary was born on March 10, 1938. She was a daughter of Levi G. and Carrie (Kauffman) Miller. She married Edwin J. Yoder on April 21, 1978. He passed away on October 3, 2009.
Leaves to mourn her departure are four children; Mary Hostetler and her husband Ervin of Arcola, IL, Irene Yoder of Arcola, IL, Howard Yoder and his wife Marcia (Schrock) of Arthur, IL, and Carol Gingerich and her husband Jonathan of Arcola, IL; twelve grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, fifty-eight step-great-grandchildren, five step-great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Lela Reynolds of Arthur, IL and one brother-in-law, Jerry Kuhns of Arthur, IL.
Mary was preceded in death by, her husband Edwin, her parents, Levi and Carrie Miller, two brothers, Eli William Miller and Harvey Miller and two sisters, Fannie Bontrager and Lizzie Ann Kuhns.
Mary was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Yoder, Robert Lee, Jr. "Bobby"
July 1, 1953 - January 13, 2024
Robert Lee Yoder Jr (Bobby), died peacefully at his home Friday, January 13, 2024. He was 70 years old. He had spent his last evening with his wife, Margaret, watching his beloved Indiana University Hoosiers thump the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Born in La Plata, Puerto Rico, Bobby spent his youth in Bloomington, Indiana where his father was in graduate school. Those were fond memories for Bobby as he and his siblings would recall paper routes, biking, spelunking in caves and skateboarding. In 1968 the family relocated to Goshen that became, except for an eleven-year stint in Colorado, his true home. While he missed Bloomington, the move did give Bobby the opportunity to spend more time on his grandparents’ (Rudy and Mae Yoder) farm in Milford, where he became highly skilled at plowing, planting, harvesting and all of the necessary chores of a working farm.
At the age of 18 he and his closest friend from high school rode their motorcycles all the way to Costa Rica. They wanted to visit a girl who was living there while her parents hosted Study Service Trimester students from Goshen College. After enjoying this tropical paradise and the company of their friend’s family along with Costa Rican families who provided hospitality, Bobby headed back north, stopping in Honduras. His mother Dorothy had a relative residing there who arranged Bobby’s transport with his motorcycle, of course, on a banana boat headed for Gulfport, Mississippi. It was January then and he was able to get as far as Tupelo, Mississippi before the cold forced him call his father Bob Sr to ask for a ride home. Much later in his life, Bobby’s motorcycle traveled with him to Colorado and then also came back to Indiana when he and Margaret returned to his home state.
A soccer player in his younger years, with great memories and stories from Goshen’s Watertower FC soccer team, Bobby became a lifelong fan of sports, especially all things IU but also of Liverpool FC of English Premier League Soccer. Liverpool’s success in recent weeks, to gain the coveted first place position in their season standings, was a source of joy.
In work Bobby was meticulous at getting things right – measure twice, cut once – which led to a long and successful career at DJ Construction. He was Construction Site Superintendent for a number of local church projects, the Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary Library project in Elkhart as well as, most notably, the Interra Federal Credit Union building in downtown Goshen.
Bobby married late in life, but it was worth the wait. In 2007 he wed Dr. Margaret Loewen, a friend from college days, who brought two sons into the marriage. In addition to his wife, Bobby leaves behind his parents Robert and Dorothy Yoder of Goshen, stepsons Christopher Payne of Alamosa, Colorado and Loewen Payne (Meg) of Valparaiso and their three wonderfully rambunctious daughters Fiona, Jillian and Quinn. Additional survivors include his brother Ronald (Rhonda) Yoder of Nacogdoches, Texas, his sister Judith (Richard) Stern of Arlington, Virginia, and his brother Ted Yoder of Washington DC. His nephews and niece adored Bobby: Max Stern, Mexico City; Cora Stern, Washington DC; Nathaniel Stern, London, England; and Jackson Yoder, Washington DC.
A service for sharing of memories, pictures, stories and fellowship is planned at College Mennonite Church on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in the Koinonia Room at 2 p.m. All who attend are requested to wear masks.
A later celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2024. Please notify the family of Bobby if you would like to have an invitation to this outdoor event.
In the coming days, weeks and months, let us remember an African proverb: “Say not in grief ‘he is no more’, but live in thankfulness that he was.”
Yoder, Rosanna "Rose" Yoder
December 10, 1948 - January 7, 2024
Rosanna "Rose" Yoder, 75, of Shipshewana, passed away on Sunday, January 7, [2024] at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. She was born on December 10, 1948, in Nappanee, to William D. and Mary (Miller) Yoder. On December 3, 1971, in Pleasant Grove Church in Elkhart County, she married C. Duane Yoder, he died November 2, 2021.
Surviving are two sons, Darrick L. Yoder and Corbett W. Yoder both of Shipshewana; granddaughter, Mickenzie A. Yoder of Murphysboro, TN; brother, Steven (Diane) Yoder of Saginaw, TX; two sisters-in-law, LaDonna Yoder of FL, Jayne Martin of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; six brothers, Edwin, Marvin, Glen, Earl, Michael, and Wayne Yoder; three sisters, Mary Eicher, Anna Mae Yoder, and Clara Ferne Gerig.
Rosanna graduated from Nappanee High School in 1967 and later received her RN diploma from Parkview Methodist School of Nursing in 1970. She worked at Goshen General Hospital for three years, Middlebury Family Physicians (Beacon) for 42 years, and retired in May of 2019. Rose was a member of Living Hope Christian Fellowship. She enjoyed quilting, jigsaw puzzles, reading, playing dominos (tri-ominos) and table games.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday, January 12, at Griner Church, 12418 CR 20 Middlebury. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the 10:00 am funeral services on Saturday, January 13, also at the church. Services will be conducted by the Living Hope Pastoral Team. Burial will be in Griner Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorials may be given to Gospel Echoes, World Missionary Press, or Living Hope Christian Fellowship.
Yordy, June Louise Davis
June 30, 1937 - January 24, 2024
June Louise Yordy, 86, of Goshen, IN, passed away January 24, 2024 with two of her daughters nearby. After a slow decline with dementia, she died quickly from an infection.
June was born to Gray and Bertha (Hanna) Davis in Chicago, IL, the youngest of nine siblings. She shared a special bond with her older sister Carole, who survives her. As a very quiet young girl, she and Carole became friends with a neighbor girl, Evelyn Yordy, who later invited them to church activities. June was baptized at the Mennonite Home Mission as a teenager. Later she reconnected with Evelyn’s older brother, James, when he returned from PAX service.
June married James Walter Yordy on June 9, 1956. They raised their family of five children in Lyons, IL while running a family trucking business, being faithful members of Lombard Mennonite Church, and being friends to many, often inviting them into their home for a meal. After bookkeeping for the family business, June worked as a church office administrator. After retirement, she and Jim moved to Tucson, AZ for 14 years. She moved to Goshen, IN in December 2017.
June is survived by her children, Janice (David) Yordy Sutter, daughter-in-law Patty Yordy, Jonathan (Jean) Yordy, Jill Yordy Stasch, Jeanne (Matt Baer) Yordy, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, James her husband of 59 years, an infant son Jack Davis Yordy, an adult son Jeffrey James Yordy, a granddaughter Josey Yordy Baer, a grandson Timothy Christian Sutter, and recently, a son-in-law, Michael Stasch.
June had many interests and gifts: playing Scrabble, making candles, taking daily walks in the neighborhood, hosting dinners and parties, making donuts for family and friends, hosting a weekly fun-filled Bible school for her children’s grade school friends, and traveling with Jim.
A memorial service, followed by a tea party, is planned for Saturday, March 9, 10:30 am (CST) at Lombard Mennonite Church, 528 E. Madison St., Lombard, IL 60148.
Yutzy, Lucy Schrock
June 15, 1929 - February 18, 2024
Lucy (Schrock) Yutzy, 94, of rural Arcola, Illinois passed away at 9:30 PM on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church, 1/8 mile east of Chesterville, Illinois. Rev. Larry Rocke will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Visitations will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church, 1/8 mile east of Chesterville, Illinois (Arthur area). The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Lucy was born on June 15, 1929 to William B. and Elsie (Kauffman) Schrock. Lucy married Christian W Yutzy, son of William and Rachel (Stutzman) Yutzy on January 6, 1949 (Christian passed away Sept 24, 2017).
Survivors include: 3 children JoEllen, at home, Judith Elaine, married to Loyd Gingerich of Arcola, and Karen Kay, married to Ernest Gingerich, of Arcola; 1 daughter-in-law, Laura (Miller) Yutzy of Arthur. 7 grandchildren: Jonathan (Sharon) Gingerich, Heidi (Luke) Goss, Christopher (Cheryl) Gingerich, David (Kristin) Gingerich, Denise (Ryan) Herschberger, Sara Gingerich, and Dominic Gingerich; 2 step-grandchildren: Angela (Joshua) Bowman, and Alicia (Scott) Marner. 12 great-grandchildren: Bennett and Andre Gingerich; Keagan, Danielle, Russell, and Annette Gingerich; Jordyn and Zoey Gingerich; Lucy and Charles Goss; Kelsey and Grant Herschberger. 4 step-great-grandchildren: Anthony, Sophia and Remington Bowman; Abigail Marner. 2 sisters-in-law, Elsie (Yoder) Schrock, Gertie (Yutzy) Plank.
She was preceded in death by her husband Christian W Yutzy, her son, Roger William Yutzy, her parents William B and Elsie (Kauffman) Schrock, 3 brothers, Levi Schrock, Ben Schrock and his wife Lucy, Martin Schrock, 3 sisters, Ida Schrock, Katie Kaufman and her husband Melvin, Caroline Miller and her husband Eli William.
Lucy was a member of the Sunnyside Mennonite Church.
Zimmerly, Ila F. Long
January 9, 1938 - March 12, 2024
Ila F. Zimmerly, age 86, of Sterling, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster, following a brief period of declining health.
Ila was born on January 9, 1938, in Cavalier County, North Dakota, to the late Alfred and Rachel (Conat) Long. She graduated from International Falls Senior High in Minnesota in 1956 and then went on to graduate from Goshen College with a BA in education. She married Jacob D. Zimmerly on August 27, 1960, in International Falls, MN. Jacob passed away on January 1, 2018.
Ila loved children. She expressed this through becoming an elementary school teacher and having four children. She initially taught in Orrville for several years before taking a break to raise her family. She returned to teaching for 25 years at Sterling Elementary before her retirement.
After her retirement she volunteered for a decade at Ohio's Hospice LifeCare formerly known as Wayne County Hospice Care. She loved spending time and going out to lunch with her Sterling group, a group of retired teachers from Sterling Elementary School. She enjoyed quilting, playing solitaire, and getting her nails done. But most of all she delighted in her family and spending time with them as much as she could. She was her children’s number one fan at all their sporting events.
Ila was a lifelong member of Crown Hill Mennonite Church where she led singing, taught Sunday School and Bible School and made quilts for Women Serving Christ for the MCC Relief Sale.
Surviving are three sons, Terrence (Karen) Zimmerly of Iowa City, IA, Randall (Cynthia) Zimmerly of Shipshewana, IN, and Michael (Diane) Zimmerly of Kent; daughter, Joy (Brian) Ziegler of Sterling; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; five siblings, Albert (Judy) Long, Hugh (Myrna) Long, Cynthia (Rodney) Milender, Ronald (Val) Long, Karen (Ralph) Ruelle, and Kenneth (Deborah) Long; four sisters-in-law, Bev Long, Mary Jo Long, Velma Shoup, and Twila Zimmerly; brother-in-law, Dennis (Lois) Zimmerly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by siblings, William "Sweed" Long, infant brother, Theodore "Teddy" Long, Linda Tilander, Stanley Long, Dennis Long, Alfred "Junior" Long; brother-in-law, Wally Tilander; sisters-in-law, Karen Long, Linda Long, Evelyn Zimmerly, and Anna Detweiler.
Friends may call on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Crown Hill Mennonite Church, 9693 Benner Road, Rittman, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, at the church, with Pastors Thomas Dunn and Dan Hooley officiating. Burial will take place at the Crown Hill Mennonite Cemetery in Rittman.

Zimmerman, David M.
January 14, 1936 - February 1, 2024
David M. Zimmerman, 88, of Ephrata, entered into rest on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at his residence.
He was born in West Earl Township to the late Harry and Lena Zimmerman and was the husband of the late Katie (Martin) Zimmerman, with whom he shared 11 years of marriage. He was then a widower of 48 years.
He was a member of Conestoga Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference). David was a farmer and enjoyed his garden.
He is survived by five daughters, Mary Ann Zimmerman (Paul) of Ephrata, Lena Mae Zimmerman of Ephrata, Lois Martin (Aaron) of Ephrata, Lydia Jane Zimmerman (Jerry) of Martinsburg, Sara Etta Zimmerman of Ephrata, with whom he resided; one son, Paul D. Zimmerman (Martha Sauder); 27 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four brothers, John Zimmerman (Anna Ruth) of Ephrata, Martin Zimmerman of Akron, Ivan Zimmerman and Paul (Joanne) Zimmerman, both of Ephrata; two sisters, Edna Martin (David) of East Earl and Lydia Martin (Thomas) of Mifflinburg.
In addition to his parents and wife, David was preceded in death by two infant daughters; a granddaughter; a sister, Anna Zimmerman; a brother, Reuben Zimmerman; two sisters-in-law, Martha Zimmerman and Gladys Zimmerman.
A viewing will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, at the residence, 509 S. Farmersville Road, Ephrata. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 9:00 AM, at the residence, with further services at 9:30 AM, from Conestoga Mennonite Church, 313 N Farmersville Rd., Ephrata, with Bishop Ammon Weaver officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.

Zimmerman, Jordan Dallas
December 8, 1992 - January 15, 2024
Jordan Dallas Zimmerman, 31, of Lewisburg, entered into rest at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, in Lykens Township, Dauphin County, due to injuries sustained in a work accident.
He was born Dec. 8, 1992, in Danville, a son of John and Jewell (Byler) Zimmerman of Turbotville. On May 28, 2022, he married the former Alisha B. Wenger, who survives.
Jordan was a member of the Millmont Mennonite Church where he was active with the Bible Club for community children and teens.
He owned and operated JZ Services, specializing in liquid waste hauling.
Jordan enjoyed working, reading, serving others, and especially spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents, are one son, Kendrick Wade Zimmerman; three brothers, Justin (Lynnae) Zimmerman of Mixcoloja, Guatemala, Jason (Mindy) Zimmerman of Danville, and Jay Zimmerman of Turbotville; and two sisters, Joy Zimmerman of Mixcoloja, Guatemala, and Janelle Zimmerman of Turbotville.
Family and friends are welcome from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Millmont Mennonite Church, 1250 Millmont Road, where the service will be conducted at 10, with Millmont Ministry officiating.
Burial will be in the Millmont Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Zimmerman, Kendrew David
February 5, 2024 - February 15, 2024
Kendrew David Zimmerman, age 10 days, of Dorchester, son of Leland and Carolyn Zimmerman was born on Feb. 5, 2024 in Clark County, Wisconsin. He was born with Trisomy 13 and spent his first six days in the hospital. He then came home with oxygen and a feeding tube and was lovingly cared for and cuddled the remainder of his days.
Services were held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024 at Popple Ridge Mennonite Church in Dorchester, Wisconsin. Kenneth Zimmerman, Jerry Brubaker, Michael Martin and Virgil Martin officiated. Burial was in the Popple Ridge Mennonite Cemetery in Dorchester, Wisconsin. Charles Zimmerman and Lynnford Oberholtzer served as pallbearers.
Visitation was from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024 at Green Grove Fellowship Center.
Kendrew is survived by his parents; his four siblings, Lyndon, Katrisha, Jevon and Charity of Dorchester; grandparents, Charles and Marilyn Zimmerman of Arbela, Mo. and Lynnford and Marlene Oberholtzer of Rutledge, Mo.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Sheldon Paul Zimmerman.
The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is assisting the family with arrangements.
Zook, Bradley Dale
August 5, 2009 - February 20, 2024
Bradley Dale Zook, of 14040 Burkhart Road, Orrville, Ohio, was born on August 5, 2009 in Athens, WI. He was pronounced dead at the scene of a tractor accident approximately half a mile from his home on February 20, 2024 at the age of 14 years, 6 months, 11 days. He was the son of Raymond L. and Brenda M. (Martin) Zook.
He is survived by his parents, 3 brothers - Richard 21 years, Wendall 19 years, Duane 3 years, and 3 sisters - Beth 16 years, Janice 11 years, Glenda 8 years, all of the home; his paternal grandmother, Mattie Zook of Zanesville, Ohio; and maternal grandparents, Alvin and Sylvia Martin of Athens, WI.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jacob Zook, and a cousin on his father's side of the family.
Calling hours will be held at the County Line Mennonite Church, 19199 Church Road, Dalton, Ohio, on Sunday, February 25 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the same place on Monday, February 26 at 10:00 am. Burial will be at the Maple Hill Mennonite Church Cemetery, 9685 Mennonite Road, Rittman, Ohio.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all who supported us during this difficult time! The many meals, flowers, cards, and tokens of love that we received, some from people we have never met or ever known, have nearly overwhelmed us! We feel so unworthy, and yet it is very healing and strengthening to feel the love and support. We are thankful to God for loaning Bradley to us for 14 1/2 years! We would gladly have kept him longer, but God has asked us to return him and we rejoice that with confidence we can return him to the arms of Jesus. We simply say with Job, the Lord hath given and the Lord hath taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
